This 4th of July I went to Carowinds in Charlotte, NC to photograph some fireworks. For these photos I turned the zoom on my lens while the shutter remained opened.

Here are some more images that I will put in my book of HDR images. I plan to have this book completed by the time summer semester is over, which is July 30th.

Fundus Photography

The images below are all fundus photos & the fundus is the base of the organ. The bright spot is the optic nerve & the dark spot that's slightly below that is the fovea which is where the central vision comes from. The retina gathers all the visual sensory information & sends it along the optic nerve to the brain.

This is a fundus photograph of a normal retina that was shot on the Zeiss FF450.

These images were shot with the Optos. The Optos is used when a wider view of the retina is needed, it can allow you to see 82% whereas a standard machine will provide only 11%.

Rain Drops In A Puddle

National Cemetery

This is a photograph of the National Cemetery in Wilmington, NC. A national cemetery is a cemetery maintained by the US government for people who have served honorably in the armed forces. My great aunt & uncle who fought in WWII are both buried in this cemetery. For this image I wanted to show a great amount of tombstones while also focusing on the idealism of the American flag. At this cemetery there are so many beautiful oak trees so I used them to help frame where I wanted the eye to go.

There was no real reason for taking these photos I just got in my car & drove. If I liked it I stopped! If you didn't know I really love spending time at the beach...3 of the 4 are from the beach. I'm in Wilmington for 8 weeks so there will probably be more.
