Fundus Photography

The images below are all fundus photos & the fundus is the base of the organ. The bright spot is the optic nerve & the dark spot that's slightly below that is the fovea which is where the central vision comes from. The retina gathers all the visual sensory information & sends it along the optic nerve to the brain.



This is a fundus photograph of a normal retina that was shot on the Zeiss FF450.



These images were shot with the Optos. The Optos is used when a wider view of the retina is needed, it can allow you to see 82% whereas a standard machine will provide only 11%.
